Foobar music player, U'll Love it
I guess the first music player to have a tabbed playlist organizer. I just started using it and now I am a fan of it. I was vexed up with all those vlcs, windows media, winamp which use up a lot of resources for playing music and have predefined keys. The only minus point foobar has is that it has no support for videos but who cares.

First Email virus....
The Pentagon, CIA, and the British Parliament had to shut down their e-mail systems to get rid of the worm, as did most large corporations.
This worm program is believed to have been written by Michael Buen. The Barok trojan used by the worm is believed to have been written by Onel de Guzman, a Filipino student of AMA Computer University in Makati, Philippines.
Narinnat Suksawat, a 25-year-old Thai software engineer, was the first person to write software that repaired the damage caused by the worm, releasing it to the public on May 5, 2000, 24 hours after the worm had spread. "Rational Killer", the program he created, removed virus files and restored the previously removed system files so they again functioned normally. Two months later, Narinnat was offered a senior consultant job at Sun Microsystems and worked there for two years.

A Firefox Addon for porn WTH!!!
Earth Hour, Whaaat!!!!!
Cities officially signed on include Chicago and San Francisco, Dublin, Manila, Bangkok, Copenhagen and Toronto, all of which will switch off lights on major landmarks and encourage businesses and homeowners to follow suit. The initiative began in Sydney last year and has become a global event, sweeping across 35 countries this year.
Organisers hope the initiative will encourage people to be more aware of their energy usage, knowing that producing electricity pollutes the atmosphere through the burning of fossil fuels which are contributing to global warming.

Firefox addons webpage stunning make-over
This was the regular addons page which got revamped I guess just yesterday into the page in the pic below.
The new webpage looks glossy and has some good color combinations. The navigation is also pretty cool. But it might take some time before we get adjusted to this new site.
Direct Folders - Pump up your ride
I just found this very handy tool for those nerds who doesn't like a lot of icons on their desktops. This is one cool tool for many who store their files in deepest dens by creating folder after folder. You can get rid of those docks on the desktop and make it a place for good wallpapers. I bet you all will like this one.
Direct Folders guarantees you quick and direct access to your favorite folders and recent documents. Jump to any deeply nested folder in a single mouse click. Direct Folders automatically resizes every standard file dialog, so you can see a larger number of files. Find what you are looking for with less scrolling.
There are several ways to access Direct Folders. One of the easiest is to simply double click in the empty area of the desktop, Explorer or File Open/Save dialog box, which brings up a menu. Select a favorite or recent folder from this menu and the file dialog immediately jumps to that folder. If you activate this menu from the Desktop or tray icon, this folder will be opened in Windows Explorer or another file manager.

Britney's appearance fetches highest rating ever...
The show which averaged 10.7 million viewers, up from last week's 9.7 million, was the fourth highest rated show of the evening. While the rating boost could be attributed to hype and curiosity, the appreciation from critics was well deserved by Britney who was facing a camera after a long time.
"Brit looked slim, (OK she was behind a desk), trim and gorgeous," wrote the New York Post.
Dropped your gadget in water, Rush to Kitchen
What is the next step that you would take if your expensive mobile phone or iPod gets wet in the rain or your drop it in a wash basin or a swimming pool? Since the warranty for most electronics does not cover water damage, what can you do to revive that wet gadget ? The answer is in your kitchen.
Here's the trick, power off the device (if it’s not off already) and try to completely cover the iPod or iPhone in a bowl of uncooked rice. Rice being a natural desiccant will help absorb the excess moisture. Let it dry for at least 24 hours and DO NOT try to charge the device. If your gadget has a removable battery, dry it separately to speed up the whole drying process.
Update:: You can safely carry your iPods, Blackberry Phones or the regular cellphones to the beach, swimming pool or even inside the shower without the fear that water will damage your gadget. There is this video demonstrates how to save that expensive Motorola smart phone from water inside a bath tub. All you need is a condom to protect your phone and once covered, you can even make and receive calls with the phone without leaving the tub.
Here is the video...

The Lynx is designed to take off from a runway like a normal plane, reach a top speed of Mach 2 and an altitude of 200,000 feet, then descend in a circling glide to a runway landing. Reportedly, Lynx would be fueled by a kerosene / liquid oxygen mixture and could take off and land from traditional airstrips, and while it could manage several flights per day, each one is only slated to last 25 minutes.

ECTACO's jetBook E-Book Reader - Revolution or What?
According to ECTACO it won't be the Amazon Kindle or the Sony Reader that changes the way we read—it will be their new jetBook. Why? Well, first of all it is red and everyone knows that red is the color of learning. Second, it features a 5-inch, high-res TFT display, an MP3 player, bookmarking capability, multi-language support and an SD expansion slot. There is no word on how much memory is built-in, but we do know that the device will set you back $349.95 and there is no e-book store. So, you are on your own when it comes to finding content.

Yahoo Website from 1990's till Date...
Yahoo's website has come up a long way but the theme remains the same. Put whatever you can into the same page making it look like a fish market. But it has worked out pretty well for Yahoo though, so who cares whether it is a market or a butcher's shop...

Keep XP Alive, Burn Vista Live
Windows Vista was supposed to be a shot in the arm for Microsoft, which had gone five years without a new desktop operating system. It hasn't worked out that way. Instead, Vista sales have been slower than XP's (when adjusted for market size) and there's been a distinct lack of passion for the new OS.

Coolest Cubicle from LifeHacker
I was having a look at the coolest cubicle contest from a long time and the result is out today. The pic of a cubicle in the form of a military post has won the $500 amazon gift card from LifeHacker website. This was a contest held by lifehacker from the past one year and the results are out today.
Mark MacAskill, said when he submitted his cubicle, "The war on terror is second only to the war on boredom. And my cube was definitely boring before I transformed it into a weapon of mass destruction". He is now richer by $500. Congrats buddy for your victory over terror err boredom...

Aamir gone bald for Ghajini...
Aamir at last went bald for his forthcoming venture "Ghajini" which is a remake of a bilingual south film with the same name. This was the pic captured when he attended the premiere of the film "Race". Accompanying him was his sweetheart Kiran Rao. But I have a question for you folks, who designed their costumes for this premiere show. Aamir is in the outfit of a waiter from a suburban restaurant and Miss Kiran, looks as if she came running from a beauty parlour, with her makeup half done and her outfit is definitely a salon cloth.

Quantum of Solace
The Filming of the 22nd film in the series, and Daniel Craig's second outing as 007, has already taken place in Panama and the United States.
In January, Craig said the title Quantum of Solace made reference to how Bond's heart was broken at the end of Casino Royale. At the end of the last movie, Bond has the love of his life taken away from him and he never got that quantum of solace. Craig said the new film would follow 007 as he goes out "to find the guy who's responsible" for her death.

Guess whose pic is it?
King Khan, Bollywood Bhadshah, ShahRukh Khan. Yes its him I guess in his college days. The guys around him might not have any idea beside whom they were standing. None would have expected that the guy standing among them would one day have more fans than Tom Cruise himself.
