IE8 Beta1 Available For Download

Microsoft has released the first public beta of Internet Explorer 8 for download. This is good news for many of those IE7 lovers who are waiting for a newer version of the same. The new IE8 beta 1 installation needs a complete system restart which is a pain for some, though I give a damn for that.

Intended for developers and designers only, IE8's most intriguing new feature so far is "Web Slices," which lets you monitor a single section of a web page, like an eBay auction. There is a new thing in IE8 called the activities, which are designed to make copying and pasting between Web pages easier.

The IE8 Beta 1 is a free download, but only go there if you're willing to deal with the initial hick-ups which could sometimes even turn into a bigger storm by affecting your system as a whole.
